I left the engineering life in Canada behind when I saw an opportunity just before COVID-19 to transition into a life of professional freediving, guiding spearfishing around expeditions around the world and underwater photography. It wasn’t an easy transition, after having dedicated 10 years of my life (basically my 20’s) to engineering, but I am very content to have started and followed a new chapter in life.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

I knew I could transition to freediving full time when I became a Canadian Record Holder, started a school in Canada called\u00a0Sea to Sky Freediving Co.<\/a>and a sister school in the Philippines called\u00a0Siquijor Freediving<\/a>\u00a0located on the magical Siquijor Island. This allowed me to use my experience and skills\u00a0to then travel, join the world championships, teach in multiple schools around the world and be part of exciting\u00a0film projects from Egypt to Greenland.\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

I cannot not mention the famous Blue Hole, in Dahab, Egypt. I spent countless hours diving and coaching here (while living in Egypt on multiple occasions). Spearfishing truly the most ethical, responsible and sustainable way to eat fish. Period.
