FAQ

Are the bags 100% waterproof?
Yes. The PRO DRYBAG 55L and PRO DRYBAG 100L are both waterproof down to 50m/164 ft below the surface and have the highest waterproof classification- IP68.
The DRY TOTEBAG 90L has the same type of fabric with welded seams but is designed with an open-top without a zipper and therefore not waterproof to use below the water surface.

Does the PRO DRYBAG float?
Yes. The PRO DRYBAG floats fully packed with a full-size adult on top.

How to use PRO DRY BAG?
Make sure the entire zipper is clean and dry before closing the zipper. For closing the zipper, pull with your index finger and your long finger until the closing parts are fully shut, please note that the last closing/opening bit of the zipper is a bit harder to pull.

We advise everyone to do a Product/Waterproof test before submersing the PRO DRYBAG to make sure it is not damaged in any way. Please note that our warranty only covers SUBTECH SPORTS products and not your electronic device or any other equipment that you put inside any of our products.

Is the zipper airtight?
Yes. The zipper is fully waterproof and airtight. It is the same zipper as you find on dry suits and rescue suits. The zipper will also keep any condensation out, preventing your electronic equipment from being damaged.

The zipper is pressure tested to 500mbar / 7psi.

How do the bags perform under extreme temperatures?
All bags have been going thru extreme real-life testings so we are more than confident the bags are built to last in the most extreme conditions, check out these examples below:

Below 0°F/-18°C:

– Ice scuba diving at 40m/ 130ft depth LINK

Above 100°F / 38°C:

– 1000 mile Paddle from Texas to FloridaLINK

What makes the bag ergonomic as a backpack?
The 100% water and airtight features of the bag allows a perfect, ergonomic fit as it moulds to your back and spine when carrying the PRO DRYBAG as a backpack.

Does the zipper need maintenance?
To make it easier to open/close the zipper we recommend to lube in the zipper’s closing end, every few months. Use any dry suit zipper lubricant.
Warning: Keep the zipper clean from dirt and sand before opening and closing- wash with soap and water if needed. Dirt and sand on the zipper chain may cause leaking.

What is the difference between the 1.0 and the 2.0 series PRO DRYBAG?
Stronger outer material TPU 840D, longer zipper opening, detachable straps with 7075 aluminium hooks, magnetic handle, sternum strap with cobra buckle, detachable waist belt with 7075 aluminium buckles, new Smart Pack System, the Shockproof Inflatable System now has a divider to easily separate wet/dirty gear and has an extra pocket and overall a better look, fit and practicality.

How to do a product/waterproof test?
Allow room for air in the PRO DRYBAG. Then close the zipper, making sure you close the zipper fully. Thereafter squeeze all you can while at the same time listen and feel for air going out of the bag. If you are unable to detect any air being released, the PRO DRYBAG is waterproof.

If you feel air leaking from the PRO DRYBAG, the product is faulty and should be exchanged for a new bag.

Note: We advise all users to test your PRO DRYBAG for waterproofing before use.

Disclaimer: SUBTECH SPORT will not be liable for any damage caused to any electronic equipment due to incorrect use of PRO DRYBAG or otherwise.

Read full ‘Terms and Conditions’ before use.

Yes, the DRYCASE has two elastic bands on the inside to keep the laptop in place but we recommend to choose the correct size for a perfect fit.

Does the DRYCASE keep the laptop cool in the heat?
The laptop case has been treated with nano-coating to repel water, dirt and heat (to some extent). That said, it is still a laptop that should be treated with care. We recommend keeping the laptop away from direct sunlight to prevent it from being overheated.

Is the Shockproof Inflatable System included in the price for PRO DRYGBAG 55L?
No, the Shockproof Inflatable System (SIS) is not included when you buy the PRO DRYBAG 55L.

How does the Shockproof Inflatable System work?
On the inside of the bag, we have incorporated an Oral Inflator to Inflate/Deflate an airbag to provide 360-degree protection for sensitive gear inside the bag.

You may need to top up with more air in the Shockproof Inflatable System from time to time as the pressure will drop once the air that you are blowing into the air cells (body temperature) is equalizing with the lower outside temperature.
